Lately I have carried heavy backpack with toyo-view monorail camera (something around 22 kilos with tripod) around the city
The medium format camera seems to have kind a vacation now and 35mm cameras I have used only for 'souvenier photographs'.
As the autumn came (and went) with nice colors, I again put some effort to color photography. Photographed color negative film and developed it myself.
However it seems that color just is not for me. It's way too hard to tune colors and try to tell something with the colors. I always end up to colors that look like ordinary color slide film's colors.
Too much hussle with color calibrations, ...
Perhaps if I would own a digital camera I would have big difficulties with RAW format and photograph only by using jpg
I will continue my color negative attempts, but I am not expecting much..
ABOUT THE GALLERY
I define myself as a photographer. That's because photography is my main 'artistic' hobby. But I also like drawing, painting, computer graphics etc.
My biggest interest in photography is fine art black and white photography (some calls it as '
I photograph landscapes, but usually there are more or less man made elements within - old buildings, ruins, etc.
I use mainly 4x5 view camera, but a lot of 6x6 SLR camera too. The film is mostly Black & White film. In some rare cases color slide film. I develop films and make prints by myself.
More on my personal web page.
I do also 35mm photography. This is where color has more room in my mind; I love to take nature photographs. But within last 5 years, the ratio of color and monochrome photographs has gone for favoring monochrome instead of color.
Thanks for all visitors and
And remember, I'm allways waiting comments to my images impatiently
